Exploring the Southwest with Blacksford RV

Through Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon by Rachel Bell of Life With Little Learners

There’s something undeniably magical about hitting the open road and immersing yourself in nature. This summer, my husband and I decided to embark on a road trip out West, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of extraordinary.

With the help of Blacksford RV, our journey in a camper van rental from Las Vegas was as smooth as it was awe-inspiring. Here’s a look at how this trip unfolded and why Blacksford made it all possible.

Why Choose Blacksford RV?

First things first: if you’re contemplating an RV adventure, I cannot recommend Blacksford enough. From the get-go, their customer service was exceptional. We were first-time RVers last summer and decided to rent from Blacksford again this year.

Last year the thought of driving a camper van was a bit daunting. However, Blacksford’s comprehensive orientation eased all our concerns. They walked us through every feature of the camper van, from the basics of operation to tips on maximizing comfort. Their patience and detailed instructions made us feel like pros before we even hit the road.

They even have 24 hour on-trip support, so no matter what time of day or night it is, Blacksford RV is available to help.

The Camper Van Experience

Blacksford RV truly goes the extra mile in ensuring a stress-free experience. Our Winnebago Revel camper van was not only in pristine condition but also fully equipped with everything we could possibly need.

They provided all the essentials, from cozy bedding and efficient cookware to outdoor gear and even a toolkit. The convenience of having these amenities included made the trip so much easier. No need to worry about packing extra or forgetting crucial items—we had everything right at our fingertips.

Like I mentioned earlier, the thought of using a camper van seemed scary at first since we had never even camped, but going on a camper van trip is an experience every person should have at least once in their life. This has now become our favorite trip to plan each year!

Our Route: Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon

With our Blacksford camper van ready to go, we set off for a journey through some of the West’s most iconic landscapes. Here’s a glimpse into our incredible stops:

1. Zion National Park

Our first destination was Zion National Park, renowned for its breathtaking red rock formations and stunning canyons. We woke up each morning to crisp, fresh air and the sounds of nature just outside our vehicle.

Hiking the famous Angel’s Landing trail was a highlight, with panoramic views that made every step worth it. Zion’s beauty is unparalleled, and having a cozy home base with a kitchen to cook meals in and comfortable bed to return to each night made the experience even better.

2. Bryce Canyon

Next up was Bryce Canyon National Park, famous for its unique hoodoo rock formations and another of Utah’s Mighty 5 national parks. This was definitely my favorite park we visited! The drive through this park was absolutely mesmerizing, with each turn revealing more surreal landscapes. We spent the day hiking among the hoodoos and marveling at the park’s vibrant colors.

Returning to our Blacksford RV after a long day of exploration was a delight; the comfort and convenience of our van made unwinding easy and enjoyable. We stayed at the coolest campground, Ruby’s Inn RV Park & Campground, which was so much fun!

3. Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend

We made a quick day trip to visit the infamous Antelope Canyon and it was truly breathtaking. You do have to book a tour so make sure to schedule that ahead of time! Walking through upper Antelope Canyon was an experience like no other and we could not recommend doing this enough! Next we headed to Horseshoe Bend which was also crazy beautiful!

4. The Grand Canyon

Our final stop was Grand Canyon National Park, and wow, what a grand finale it was! The sheer scale and depth of the canyon were overwhelming in the best possible way. We spent time hiking along the South Rim and stopped at Ooh Aah Point

The flexibility of having our camper van meant we could easily adjust our plans and make the most of every moment. Whether it was preparing a meal or simply relaxing, Blacksford RV made it all possible.

Our trip out West was truly unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to Blacksford RV. Their top-notch customer service, well-equipped camper vans, and thorough orientation made the entire adventure seamless and enjoyable.

For anyone considering an RV trip, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned traveler, I highly recommend renting from Blacksford in Bozeman, MT, Las Vegas, or Phoenix. They’ll help you turn your road trip dreams into a reality and ensure you have everything you need for an extraordinary journey.

As we headed home, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the incredible experiences and the comfort that Blacksford RV provided.
